Our Approach to Change in Organisation Development

Balanced and Systemic Approach

We approach change holistically by balancing the various elements on the different levels systemically within the organisation. We apply both diagnostic and dialogic methods to bring about an emergent change.   Here are the inquiries at the different levels of system


Group level: 

  • Are the various groups aligned to the company's overall purpose? 
  • What is the power structure in the group, identify your movers and shakers?  
  • What patterns of behaviour have become norms in the company and are they still serving the group?  

 

Team level:   

  • Where is the team in terms of stages of development, do you have enough diversity & positive tension to deliver high performance ?  
  • Is there effective communication principles adopted to turn conflicts into creative energy as communication is the currency in the world of relationships? 


Individual level:  

  • Do you understand your personality, your beliefs, your world views, to understand your defence mechanism. What motivates and drives you?  
  • What are some paradoxes you hold in your mind that keeps you stuck? 


The above inquiry of the 7 Ps forms a map for deep dialogues to explore where you might need interventions to improve effectiveness.  We offer consultancy & education by influencing these various elements in a holistic and systemic way. 



Design Thinking Process

Incorporating Design Thinking Process which centres around humans & our stories, we work with you to examine current situations by collecting objective data, determine the root causes, brainstorm with you and members concerned to generate ideas that can address your pain points, then test it out with a prototype.  Through an iterative process, the team learn from their experiences and improve on it continuously.   


Step by step changes ensures we stay nimble to adapt to the highly volatile and complex environment these days, thus avoiding an over-engineered solution which becomes obsolete the moment it is implemented.  Also we are able to leverage on the diversity of the group, building ownership to the change plans because everyone was a part of the creation process.
